Design And Implementation For Rolling Bearing Data Management System Based On LabVIEW

Roller bearing is one of the most used components in rotary machines and its failure has become the major reason for the failure of the equipment. It's valuable to set up a rig to test the performance of the roller bearing in various conditions and then provide some guidelines for the roller bearing design. When set up the test rig, building up an effective measurement and control system can help to develop the potency of the rig. Meanwhile, the test data management system is one of the most important components for the measurement and control system. Therefore, in this work, we set up a system to manage the test data from the test platform; the system can provide a solid base for both the subsequent theoretical analysis and the experiment analysis.The necessity of exploring the dynamical characteristics of rolling bearing is confirmed firstly. Meanwhile, current research in this field is presented and the main research target is derived. Subsequent works have been conducted to achieve the target:(1) Based on program frame of producer/customer, the monitoring system is developed with LabVIEW platform;(2) The data is saved as TDMS form;(3) The database is constructed with Access;(4) Anticipated functions including customer management, big data storage, historical data query and export is accomplished. Finally, test was conducted to verify the validity of the software. According to the verification result, the system is proved to be stable in operation and economic in hardware consuming. Furthermore, the framework of producer/customer can avoid the data overflow due to the data accumulation; Additionally, TDMS is able to process large amount of data conveniently. Finally, the Access database is simple and qualified. It can be concluded that the function of the rolling bearing data system is well developed. The system is capable of processing large amount of data with simple structure, which is satisfactory for the demands and can provide a reliable support of the data security for the following rolling bearing experiment.
