A set of on-line detection system for missing of bearing's rolling elements and rivets is established, which is against production enterprises in the bearing assembly process of rolling elements and rivets made by the phenomenon of missing. Compared with traditional detection methods, this system is non-contact, high speed, high accuracy, the field anti-interference capabilities strong and so on many advantages, can satisfy the modern manufacturing industry well to the examination demand. It is great application value to this study applied in production in order to make up detection equipment insufficiency in China bearing industry, enhance production efficiency and quality the reliability and automation.According to the design of machine vision system theory and the theory of digital image processing, this paper took NI's LabVIEW as software development environment, and set up the detection system's hardware platform that Daheng DH-CG300image data acquisition cards, Sony's cameras and the 35mm lens, NI's USB-6501 digital I/O card and computer and so on. Detection system is calibrated with center method in this paper, in a 5×5 window median filtering method to eliminate impulse noise, reduction fuzzy image edge, Otsu method based on global threshold used binary processing, original fast algorithm completed judegment whether the missing of bearing's rolling elements and rivets. The computer will handle the final results transmitted to the control system to achieve sound and light alarm, stop bearing assembly line or control solenoid valve, cylinder components and so on, or the missing of bearing rolling or rivet into the waste basket, and so the field control.System adopts distributed monitoring model, computer has carried out treatment on the digital picture, has broken the bottleneck of large data amount fast-processing, has realized online detecting; control unit has realized real-time control according to handling result and achieved communication.Through practical verification, system reliability, stability, dfficiency are suit for enterprises requirement so as to the practical application in industry environment paved the way and a good prospect.
