With the development of big data and cloud computing business, the traditional network has been overwhelmed. The new technology SDN(Software Defined Network) network architecture has attracted wide attention, it gradually matured after recent years of development, and many companies deployed their network with this architecture at home and abroad.The SFC(Service Function Chaining) application based on SDN allows users to deploy their services flexibly and expand their services on-demand, SDN network deployment program is an indispensable application, which is an essential application in SDN network deployment. SDN network is a new technology, there is no fully matched product in the industry. Therefore, how to make the traditional network equipment support the SFC is the most conceded issue for the network vendors.Based on the SFC project of internship company, this paper studies and designs the traditional switch, and accomplishes the function that make the switch meet the SFC forwarding demand.This paper first analyzes the related technologies NFV, OpenFlow and VxLan, which are used in the SDN network deployment. At the same time, we study the two standard documents exported by the IETF SFC work group, and point out the direction for the design work. Analysis of the existing switch equipment processing flow, take ACL technology to achieve OpenFlow protocol,and then study the business chain encapsulation protocol NSH and VxLan reserved field, select the VxLan reserved field as a package header finally, and then on the basis of OpenFlow protocol chain Encapsulate fields to implement SFC forwarding. Finally, it analyzes application scenarios and forwarding logic of core components of the SFC data-plane and gives the corresponding solutions.Setting up the network environment for system testing, and the results show that the system has achieved the goal that traditional switch can be rule of the SFC data-plane. In the actual SDN network deployment scenario, the switch can assume the work of the CF, SFF and SF proxy.
