With the development of the society, the demand for energy is increasing, energy shortage has become one of the important reasons which restrict the development of economic. The existing energy consumption monitoring system mostly adopts bus mode, which has the disadvantages of high cost, limited wiring structure, not conducive to expansion and maintenance. Based on the researching of existing energy consumption monitoring system, a building energy consumption monitoring system is designed and implemented combining with power detection technology,Zigbee wireless communication technology and embedded technology. The main work is summarized below:(1) Designed the architecture of building energy consumption monitoring system based on the Internet of things, which mainly composed of wireless monitoring network and monitoring management platform. The wireless monitoring network is divided into monitoring node, routing node and coordinator. The monitoring management platform is divided into monitoring terminal and network terminal.(2) Completed the construction of wireless monitoring network, including hardware and software design of monitoring node, routing node and coordinator.Wireless monitoring network can monitor the energy consumption of any partition in the building through the monitoring node and upload the monitoring results to the monitoring terminal, and can also carry out the operation instructions issued by the monitoring terminal.(3) Completed the monitoring terminal hardware and software design, the hardware includes circuit design of network interface, LCD interface, USB interface and so on, the software includes transplantation of Linux system and application development of monitoring terminal. The monitoring terminal can realize the functions of monitoring nodes managing, real-time data displaying, dynamic curve drawing, historical data querying, operation commands sending and so on. It can also communicate with the mobile phones via short messages.(4) Completed the network terminal construction, including Boa server building,CGI program preparation and Web page interface design. It can control the monitoring terminals of multiple buildings through network, which can then manage the operations of the whole monitoring system remotely.(5) Constructed the algorithm for building energy consumption forecast based on PSR-ELM, and verified the validity of the algorithm by the historical data of the existing energy consumption monitoring system. According to the comparison between the forecast results and the actual values, the algorithm can be more accurate to the building energy consumption for short-term forecast.(6) Tested the hardware and software 'performance of each part of the building energy consumption monitoring system. Test results showed that the system running in good condition, data transmission stability, functions of all aspects have reached the design requirements.
