Along with the rapid development of short-range wireless communications technology,a growing number of wireless medical and healthcare facilities are widely promoted and applied.In addition,the transmission of health monitoring data is gradually shifted from traditional wired cable to rely on wireless technology.However,with the increase of wireless devices,the singlepoint-to-point technology is no long meet the communication needs of the human environment,in this way,WBAN technology that specifically applied to the human body area network is born at the right moment.In recent years,the research on WBAN has begun to shift from the theoretical aspect to practical application,under this trend,this paper firstly conducts correlation investigation and survey on WBAN technology,then it carries out in-depth research on IEEE802.15.6 standard,and based on the actual scenario and project needs to have targeted design on WBAN protocol stack;moreover,a set of protocol stack that meetrequirements is realized on hardware platform,and possessed with the characteristics of high performance,low complexity and extremely low power consumption.In this paper,it plans togive a detailed description on the overall structure of protocol stack,and the designing scheme of different layers.To be specifically,the physical layer adopts a design scheme based on state machine.In order to transplant a different chip,this design abstracts the hardware functionality of the bottom layer and form different functional interfacesby code,in this way,different logic functions can be performed based on the status of current program.In regards of MAC layer design,three core function modules can be firstly introduced,namely dormancy mechanism module,the upper module and memory management module,then the designing schemes for each functional process on MAC layer is given in details.In terms of the authentication part,we designed an authentication algorithmwith low complexity,so that it can be compatible with the hardware platform;moreover,in regards of the network distribution,a slot allocation algorithm with low time complexity is designed in this paper,with the purpose of solving the problem of insufficient allocation of resources.In the end,this paper gives the functional testing program of protocolstack,so as to conduct testing on the functions of physical layer and MAC layer of protocol stack,respectively.Furthermore,the test results show that the protocol stack that designed in this paper has stable operating function,low energy consumption,and with the engineering reference value.
