Design And Implementation Of Network Management System Based On SNMP

With the expansion of the scale of computer network,and the increase of the usage of it,the dependence on the computer network is gradually enhanced.However,the structural complexity and functionality of computer network is increasing at the same time which makes the network management become more onerous.Based on the Client/Server architecture,the existing network management systems are unable to meet the current demand.Therefore,the design and implementation of a network management system with high availability is of great significance.SNMP which is a widely used network management protocol,provides much convenience for the design of network management system.Based on the study of SNMP protocol and relevant knowledge of network management,as well as the comparison of the existing network management systems based on the current needs,the thesis proposed a network management system based on SNMP.The system combined the rapid development of Web technology with the SNMP protocol.And the system is based on the Browser/Server architecture.The thesis discussed the analysis and design of the system model,and discussed the key technology of system implementation,and then presented the implementation of the basic function of the system,including the performance management,resource management,fault management,topology management,user management,configuration management etc.This system uses HTML5 technology to improve the performance of the front-end display,enhance user's interaction experience.This system also reduces the possibility of information input error,improves the accuracy and convenience of the network management by using the XML analytical technology and automatic discovery of topology.The system has the advantages of easy operation,simple interfaces,convenience of upgrade and easy extension.At last,the conclusion of the thesis was made.Meanwhile,the thesis took a new look of the development prospect of network management.
