The author internationalization of technical journals is an important index to evaluate the degree of internationalization and academic influence.During 1980-1990,the process of internationalization of science communication has been widely mentioned,as an important carrier of spreading scientific knowledge and academic achievements, the degree of Journal of science and technology's internationalization is also more and more domestic and foreign scholars extensive attention and become a hot spot in this field. Many scholars believe that the internationalization of sci-tech periodicals act in many aspects, such as the quality of internationalization, the internationalization of the author and the readers, the internationalization of publishing language, the internationalization of editorial form, the internationalization of arrangement standard, the internationalization of management standard, the internationalization of printing quality and the internationalization of search system.Among them, the author is one of the significant characteristics of internationalization. For analysis and evaluation China,Japan,India and South Korea science journal author internationalization level,to investigate the relationship between the 4 author internationalization level of science journal and the academic influence,we select 149 SCI source journals(39 in China,63 in Japan,23 in India and 24 in South Korea)included in the 2015 edition of the JCR database as the research object. The scores are calculated for each journal Fraction of Author Internationalization international,(FAI,include FAI1 and FAI2)and the Index of Author Internationalization(IAI,include IAI1 and IAI2).Compare the author internationalization level of Chinese,Japanese,Indian and South Korean science journals, analysis FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 of the 4 countries with the impact factor of the journals to determine the relationship between the author internationalization level of science journals with the academic influence of the journals. The results showed that Chinese journals' FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 are 0.230±0.167,0.382±0.233,0.0837±0.701 and 0.1710±0.115 respectively;Japanese journals' FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 are 0.480±0.230,0.579±0.276,0.162±0.084 and 0.223±0.110 respectively;Indian journals' FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 are 0.356±0.169,0.448±0.225,0.109±0.068 and 0.135±0.752 respectively;South Korean journals' FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 are 0.403±0.286,0.508±0.262,0.115±0.085 and 0.207±0.091 respectively. The impact factors of China,Japan,India and South Korea are 1.912±1.782,1.685±0.949,0.643±0.305 and 1.345±0.932.ANOVA test shows that the difference of the four countries in FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 was statistically significant(P=0.000,P=0.002,P=0.000 and P=0.003).There is a statistically significant difference in FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 between Chinese and Japanese journals(P=0.000,P=0.000,P=0.000 and P=0.023).Chinese journals are significantly different from those in India and South Korea statistically in FAI1(P=0.006,P=0.011).The differences of FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 are statistically significant between Japanese and Indian journals(P=0.020,P=0.046,P=0.007 and P=0.001).The difference of IAI1 between Japanese and Korean journals is statistically significant(P=0.022),the difference in IAI2 is statistically significant between Indian and South Korean journals(P=0.005).There is no statistically significant difference between the other countries in terms of the author international index.Pearson correlation test results show that correlation coefficients of FAI1,FAI2,IAI1 and IAI2 in Chinese journals are 0.336(P=0.036),0.551(P=0.000)0.573(P=0.000)and 0.720(P=0.000),the difference is statistically significant, indicating there is a positively correlation between the level of author internationalization and the periodical impact in Chinese journals. While in other countries there was no statistically significant difference between the indexes. The above results indicate that in the four countries of China,Japan,India and South Korea,Japanese journals has the highest degree of author internationalization, the second is South Korea, the third is India and the lowest is China.Indian journals have the lowest impact factor and the impact factor of China,Japan and South Korea have a considerable level. The degree of internationalization of Chinese technical journals is positively related to the influence of journals. The improvement of the author international level of Chinese journals plays an active role in promoting the academic influence of journals, and the author international level of journals in the other 3 countries has nothing to do with the academic influence of journals.
