Abstract/Summary:
With the development of social economy and the improvement of people’s living standard,public security has become the focus of public concern.The main function Video tracking system is to deal with video images and complete the identification and tracking of the moving target.Video image processing can be divided into in four parts: video capture,video preprocessing,video overlay and video object tracking.Tracking is based on the identification,because the target is not the same,so the tracking means are also different.The typical and commonly used ones are related tracking,full-field tracking and edge tracking.As the signal processed by video tracking is real-time video digital image signal,it has two main features: first,massive data,and second,the need to have a very fast processing speed.With the improvement of the integration and computing speed of the digital signal processor--DSP chip,the technology of the image of real-time transmission and high-speed processing requirements can be guaranteed,which also contribute to the wide use of DSP chip in video tracking system.In this paper,a video tracking system is designed based on DSP,which aims at the massive data of video tracking system,the characteristics of high processing speed and the requirement of real-time tracking,combining the existing technology and current advanced devices.The system uses TMS320C6416 of TI as the core device to realize the recognition and tracking of the target image in the field of view and gives the position information target in real time.The EP1C6Q240C8 of ALTERA is used as the auxiliary processor to capture,preprocess and video the video Overlay display,and timing logic between the DSP and the FPGA control.This paper presents a hardware-based fast median filtering algorithm which solves the shortcomings of the traditional median filter algorithm such as poor real-time performance and high resource occupancy rate,to meet the real-time requirement of the system;which makes use of FPGA internal M4 k RAM resources to constitute high speed FIFO,completes the rate matching between DSP and FPGA,and makes use of the EDMA transmission mechanism of the DSP system to realize buffer loading of the video data from FPGA to DSP.The system debugging results show that the system has a certain real-time and stability.
