Embedded design developing in an effective high-speed by the FPGA's technology.FPGA compared with traditional ARM core embedded design, has more excellences, such as lower input costs, more flexible and convenient to change the designs and also can provide high speed advantages of parallel processing.This article is a FPGA design based video capture and tracking, differences than the embedded design based on ARM is that the expansion of good performance and relatively stable structure of the hardware structure.It can be appropriated at any time according to different needs and realize the corresponding function to add. Compared with traditional embedded design, the FPGA design can shorten the design cycle,also can reduce a lot of testing and practical application between the treatment link. This is an efficient and convenient expression in Electronic design fields.This article based on building SOPC system, The SOPC design has the characteristics such as flexibility,functionality can be tarilored,both of hardware and software could be programmability and good integration features. Analysis of the image acquisition and processing,Determining the position and tracking algorithm for the moving object This article will do the focus on CMOS image sensor design in accordance wuth its functions,constructed a complete IP core. Using how the software design and hardware design combination in a whole,Following the complementary principle.Using Niosâ…ˇto develop the CMOS functions, Make the image process becoming a reality in the self-built SOPC system using Very-High-Speed Intergrated Circuit HardwareDescription Language and using the C language programming to realize the tracking and positioning algorithms under the software of Nios II Integrated Development Environment.Paper start at explain the status research at the image processing fields using the embeded design.First explore the feasibility of FPGA research for the image processing and the design of the feasibility function modules; Second building block diagram of the system and established the system hardware resources;Then,under Block diagram of the designed experimental platform Magic SOPC with the FPGA, do the FPGA design for video acquisition and processing system implementation, this intermediate mainly used Altera's Cyclone II series FPGA chip EP2C35F672C SOPC technology, image acquisition is designed to customize to track SOPC system; Finally, at the custom SOPC system, using soft-core Nios II IDE for the functional design of image tracking and positioning system, and the output control of stepper motor rotation control signal.This article focuses on design a CMOS IP core have the image acquisition and processing and tracking module, and how to add it to form a complete SOPC system. At the end of the test, basic design of image capture and tracking become ture.
