At present, the survival situation of our traditional culture TV programs is a little awkward. This kind of embarrassment is characterized by non mainstream, small form and low audience rating. This paper will study in Hubei, "reading" program -- for example, by studying the relationship between the show's content preferences and needs of the audience, to explore this kind of cultural programs survive solution embarrassed, provide the reference for the practice of the media industry.This article through to the creation of program personnel depth interviews to obtain the contents of the survey results, verify the "reading" Hubei television programs in planning topics and methods are associated with the needs of the audience. Summed up the plight of the program, pointed out the shortcomings of the program, the survival of the plight of the program briefly analyzed the reasons.
