With the rapid development of information technology and multimedia technology,the application of real-time video technology is more and more extensive.However how to compress the massive video data efficiently,reduce the bandwidth required for transmission,and then solve the problems of delay and Caton resulted from real-time video processing and transmission,which has become a real challenge to scholars of study in the video real-time processing and transmission.To this end,the paper designed a DSP-based video processing and network transmission system.In order to achieve real-time video processing and transmission,the system completed video capture and compression on DSP(digital signal processor)platform,and video data was sent to the host computer of PC through the Gigabit Ethernet.Hardware composition of the system,TMS320DM6467 T which is TI's high-definition dual-core digital media processor as the core of hardware system,completes system control,video compression and real-time network transmission;the CCD camera,the corresponding video decoder and VPIF video interface which are parts of system to achieve video capture;DDR2 SDRAM And NAND FLASH chip are formed the system external storage unit to cache the system video data and store program;VSC8641 as PHY chip,constitutes the Gigabit network transmission module of video data to complete the system network transmission.Windows as the core of software system,in the CCS3.3 programming software,the CSL library functions and I2 C protocol are taken into consideration to achieve the design of video capture,network transmission and the underlying driver of other hardware modules.In video compression,the popular coding standard H.264 is selected,and mixed coding is selected as coding mode.The experimental of system results show that: in 25 frames / sec,1600 Kbps bit rate,DSP load is only 38%;compression ratio up to 160 and more,which greatly reduces the pressure of network transmission;the video of host computer receiver is clear,and no distortion;system delay is only 230 ms,which meets the requirements of the real-time video data processing.
