With the development of multimedia technology, low-light night vision technology is developed significantly and applied widely in the military and civil aspect. It has great theoretical significance and practicality to combine embedded technology with low-light video real-time processing technology in the military and civil aspect, and it is also an important topic which the domestic and foreign researchers pay attention to. Now processing chip must be provided with the formidable operational capability and nimble conformity ability in the embedded video application domain. But DSP, FPGA, ASIC as well as the general processor (for example ARM) based on the single nuclear processing chip, have difficulty to satisfy the requirement in the aspects of operational capability and control function. The TMS320DM6446 processor of Texas Instruments (TI) Corporation's integrating the ARM and the DSP, which is applied in this paper, has characteristics of higher operational performance, lower power loss and so on. The processor can satisfy simultaneously the requests of operational capability and the control function.The software and hardware framework of TMS320DM6446 platform is thoroughly researched and analyzed. In view of the low-light video's characteristic, the thesis proposes a low-light image enhancement arithmetic which is suitable for the embedded platform, and also designs and realizes low-light video real-time processing system based on TMS320DM6446. The prime task of the thesis includes:1. To study low-light image processing technology based on the embedded processing platform, analyze the strengths and weaknesses of processing chip based on the single nuclear, and discuss the characteristic and superiority of TMS320DM6446 this paper uses;2. To study and analyze the software and hardware framework of TI Corporation's Davinci platform from four aspects: the characteristic of ARM-DSP integration, memory allocation, switched central resource and detailed steps of software development;3. To propose the total technical program of the system about low-light image enhancement from two aspects: low-light image processing technology and embedded processing platform;4. To design and realize low-light video real-time capturing and displaying function modules combined with the characteristic of the Davinci platform;5. To raise an arithmetic calculating the new fitting component using the Y, U and V channel based on the analysis of video sampling format and the R, G and B three channels'characteristic of low-light image, and make use of this fitting component to enhance and denoise the low-light image.The test result indicates that the system has completed low-light video capturing,processing and denoising function, and the demonstration on the TMS320DM6446 platform has reached the anticipated result and satisfied the real-time requirement basically.
