Along with the development of the computer monitoring technology and computer network technology, the computer and the network have brought very big convenience for people's production work. How to use this advanced technology to server well the industrial production becomes a problem suspending in front of us.In a real-time monitoring management system of flow industry, real-time data gathering, real-time database and historical data compression are three crucial questions in the system. This paper describes how to implement the communication between PLC and PC upon SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet using S7 protocol. Aiming at the trait of RTDBS, it analyses and realizes the key technologies such as function modules, store structure, transaction scheduling and concurrency control. It improves the stability and real-time property of the system using memory-mapped files, multi-thread technology, multimedia timer and synchronous object. The system uses the SDT algorithm to compress the process data and then saves it to the historical database. The concurrence of relative error is maintained under an acceptable level. It has obtained the satisfactory compression effect and enormously reduced the data storage space.
