This paper aims at studying Southeast Asia countries,including Thailand and Indonesia influenced by mainly Confucian culture.Although Thailand is known as the"Buddha Country"in the world,but it is also influenced by Confucian culture.Since Thailand has not formed a country,Thailand has long had already started contacts with China.Not only in economic and trade terms,but also did the ruler of Thailand send a lot of officials and students to study in China.In addition to the economical communication,in 1802,during the reign of King Rama I,the first prose-"Three Kingdoms" has begun to have great influence on Thailand,after which many versions appeared.Therefore,the main factor affecting the Thailand is dominating Confucian ideas which formed the fusion of Buddhist and Confucian culture.Indonesia is called "Muslim capital" in the world.Although they would have already been affected by a series of Indian culture,but then with the continuous development of economy and trade,Islam of the Arabs would gradually affect Indonesia's local culture,and form Indonesia's main religion.In the 17th century,when the Netherlands from Western countries induced a colonial aggression to Indonesia.People had to fight for their own position in all aspects,and at the same time Chinese also struggled the status.Especially in culture,Confucian culture targeted mainly at the local culture and education in Indonesia.Through hundreds of years of struggle,the Chinese living in Indonesia,Confucian culture has evolved Confucianism in Indonesia.Therefore,this paper mainly compare process and results of Confucianism between the two countries in the aspects of geographic environment,ethnic,religious and cultural sources.
