With the rapid development of digital TV, digital TV front-end equipment become more and more diverse and complex which make the device management more difficult. Therefore, department of radio and television pays great attention to the problem of how to manage digital TV front-end equipment conveniently and effectively. So the concept of network management emerges at a historic moment, and then the network management systems which researched by some companies arise.The network management system includes multiple subsystems,such as resource management system, alarm management system and panel simulation display system. Among them, panel simulation display system can provide clear and concise views of device panel for the network manager to easy in managing and controlling, which plays a very important role in the network management system. But now, the complexity and diversity of digital TV front-end equipment have a significant requirement on the design and implementation of the panel simulation display system.Based on the actual needs of development in the project of our laboratory, this paper researches the design and implementation of panel simulation display system on the basis of the original network management system of digital TV front-end equipment. Aimed at different digital TV front-end equipment, this system researches display issues in views of device panel, and realizes real-time acquisition and update of device panel information.This paper first analyzes the development of digital TV and network management system of digital TV front-end equipment, and research related technologies and difficulties deeply, and propose time delay problem when device panel was initialized. Then, this paper propose the design architecture of panel simulation display system and discusses the concrete implementation plan. Finally, this panel simulation display system realize real-time acquisition of device panel information and solves time delay problem and other problems effectively. This system is based on C/S mode, so, this paper discusses the design and implementation of the system from three ways, such as client, server,client-server interaction. Client uses ILOG Jviews technology to draw the panel light. Server uses SNMP technology to realize real-time acquisition of device panel information and uses multi-thread technology to poll device. Initial information of device.is stored in a XML file Client and server use CORBA technology to interact. After testing, the system has reached the expected requirement and runs stably.
