Research Of Networks Resource Management System For Hfc Networks Based On Corba Technology And Implementation Of Provision Subsystem

Broadband access technology and networks is a very hot and popular topic currently, but community access network is different from the equivalent local networks for the use of office. The performance of throughput of the community access networks is only one criterion for a network project. The convenience of the provision and management of a community access networks, the quality of services provided by a community networks are all basic and inWortant standards of a good community access networks project. This thesis researches the rationale of DOCSIS(Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) pr~ocol which is the basic communication protocol framework of HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) networks and implements partial management functions of the protocol. Meanwhile, the thesis deploys CORBA technology that is very eminent in the field of network management now in the implementation of the Community Resource Management System (CRMS) and researches the application of object-oriented middleware technology in the development of community network man~ement system. We try to find a method that makes the use of new technology to solve traditional technical problem.In the prologue of the thesis, the thesis introduces the current development status of community networks based on HFC broadband access network system and show the significance of such project. In chapter two, the thesis compares the difference of several relatively ripe broadband access network technologies and analyzes the architecture and communication protocol of HFC technology in detail which is suitable for the application situation in Chiaa. In chapter three, the thesis analyzes the rationale, characteristics of CORBA technology and its advantage in the development of network management software project. In chapter four, the thesis introduces and analyzes the design model and architecttre of Community Resource Management System (CRMS) in depth. In the end, the liiesis shows the development of provision subsystem of CRMS based on CORBA technology and DOCSIS protocol.
