Development Of High Precision High Power Constant Current Source

The application of a constant current source is more and more extensive.With the advancement of modern science and technology,the demand for constant current is gradually increasing in the industrial,medical,military and other aspects.At present,the study of high-power constant current source started late.In China,the whole performance of development high-power constant current source behind the foreign manufacturers,the key technology remain to be resolved.In this paper,a 4500 W high-power constant current source has been designed and implemented based on the problems existing in the domestic high-power constant current source and the work done in the research and development of a constant current source.According to the parameters set by the constant current source,the whole system scheme is determined.The constant current source core circuit designed in this paper is built on the current-voltage negative feedback to achieve high stability of the output current.In order to improve the reliability of the system,the sampling circuit,the driving circuit,the protection circuit and the surge circuit are designed according to the parameter index,and their characteristics and circuit principle are analyzed and the circuit schematic is drawn in detail.In this paper,the prototype of the constant current source has been tested and there are the parameter index that has been implemented: maximum output current 15A;current could be adjusted from 0A to 15 A continuously;current stability is less than 0.1%;ripple current is less than 100 mA,,the parameters meet the design requirements.
