At present,columnar coal-based activated carbon is used in various fields of national life,which keeps increasing year by year.There is an activated carbon manufacturing enterprise in Ningxia which has a very complex production process,plans to design four production lines while the equipment is relatively scattered and the working environment is pretty harsh.In this condition,the enterprise needs to design a new working system in terms of hardware equipment selection,software design,etc.with simple wiring,reliable technology,and excellent automation,also easy to operate.This paper focuses on designing an automatic pinching system based on PROFIBUS through in-depth study of the mixing process and the PROFIBUS,covering the hardware equipment design selection,electrical schematic design,software programming as well as configuration design.The system adopts Siemens S7-300 series PLC as the primary station,the operator station as the secondary master station,the distributed I/O controller ET200 M as the slave station.With MCGS host computer monitoring,the PROFIBUS can successfully build up a set of automatic mixing molding system together with slave computer.The temperature control of the tar and the mixing pot during the production process can be monitored through PID which programmed by STEP7.The parameters can be set and adjusted by Z-N method after model building.In addition,the inverter PID can also monitor the screw feed motor through its closed-loop control to achieve uniform operation.The inverter control can monitor the granulator according to the actual situation so as to improve the efficiency of activated carbon production and product quality.The author develops the host computer monitoring system based on MCGS while separately designs the main monitoring,parameter setting,temperature adjustment,speed setting,real-time data and history data query,alarm query and other functional interface.The new system will guarantee a real-time monitoring about the production process and easy adjustment of related parameters,which greatly facilitate the engineering staff to better monitor,record and manage.
