A Study On The Phenomenon Of News Reversal In Network Environment

Given the fact that we are at the booming time of Internet media,the micro-blog and WeChat are now in widespread use,which making the news reversal phenomenon occurs frequently in journalism and communication.Since the news reversal phenomenon often appears in Hotspot issues,which usually leads to the reversal of public opinion.It generally has a great social impact.The research on the news reversal phenomenon is not only an investigation on the new problems of journalism and communication,but also a deep concern on current issues.This article takes 28 national-influential news reversal cases happened in 2016 as research samples to conduct empirical research on the occurrence frequency and the timing of news reversal,the occurrence and reversal platforms of news reversals,the typological distribution and the sensitive groups of news reversals.It also takes the case “donation scandal of Luo Yixiao” as case study to investigate and analyze the features,reasons and the impacts of news reversal case.Meanwhile,it also explores the reasons for the occurrence of news reversal,namely,the media seek the timeliness,media mistaken operation,uneven level users of UCG,and the ineffective supervision of the government etc.At last,the article conducts deep thoughts on the news reversal phenomenon,as considering its negative impact on society,and comes to the conclusion that the government should strength the management and supervise on news reversal phenomenon,the media should adhere to industry standards and the third party supervision of society should be constructed while the people should receive education on media literacy etc.
