Design And Implementation Of TianJin Remote Sensing Earthquake Disaster Assessment System

Applying a variety of high-tech and using affluent remote sensing data sources,Tianjin Remote Sensing Earthquake Disaster Assessment System,TJRSEDAS in brief,has combined several functions of large spatial database management,basic RS image processing,earthquake disaster assessment,earthquake damage identification and extraction.All the functions can work in both integrate or independent controlling mode.The construction of TJRSEDAS realized general control and integration of three subsystems: management system of RS image and assistance vector data database,RS&GIS integrated system of earthquake damage identification and extraction,earthquake damage image data rapid assessment system.Meanwhile,a professional and operational software technology platform for hazard information extraction and service based on RS technology was achieved.During the system construction process of TJRSEDAS,domestic and foreign high-tech achievements of remote sensing were applied.Thus,RS techniques reached the practic--al level in earthquake damage identification and extraction.For the reason that earthquake damage information were acquiring timely and accurately,require of earthquake emergency commanding and decision-making were satisfied.Moreover,the government's reaction capacity of earthquake emergency were greatly improved,Scheduling all possible forces of disaster relief efficiently and making all kinds of relief strength orderly harmonious and efficient.TJRSEDAS is helpful for improve the level of earthquake emergency in Tianjin,and will play a great role in destructive earthquakes in the future,minimizing casualties and losses caused by earthquake disasters.
