Analysis Of Prosperity And Declination Of The Extreme Feature Of News In China

From the mid-1980 s to mid-1990 s in the last century,the extreme feature of news had galloped across China just like a “dark horse” rushing out suddenly.However,today,the extreme feature of news had lost its former brilliance.In the media which were once famous for the extreme feature nationwide,it is a lot harder to find its trace.As a kind of news style,it quickly rose and then quickly went quiet.It must be said that it is a kind of phenomenon deserving our attention in the development of media.In this paper,the Shanghai "Youth Daily" "Life Weekly" as an example,the late 80 s of the last century to the mid-1990 s.On the basis of combination of macro grasp with micro perspective and external historical study with specific text analysis,an overall framework reflecting historical development of the extreme feature of news was explored.The emergence of the extreme feature of news was an inevitable result in the development of the times.With gradual deepening of reform and opening-up progress and establishment of market economy system,the transformation of old system into a new one had provided a wealth of writing material for the extreme feature of news.In addition,prosperity of popular culture and change in media transmission concepts further promoted the development of the extreme feature of news.At the same time,prosperous newspapers and thriving “weekend edition” provided a stage for the extreme feature of news to display.However,with development of the times,squeezing of social ecological change,greater impact of market economy and fiercer competition in modes of transmission,the surviving space of the extreme feature of news was sharply compressed.Meanwhile,its weaknesses were exposed gradually,which seriously restricted the development of its own.Influenced by various factors,the extreme feature of news had gradually disappeared in the readers' visions.The retrospect on the whole process of the extreme feature of news from rising to declining was not only a valuable record of social change at that time,but also reflected the choice of the history of the times.In this paper,through analysis and study of the extreme feature of news,the achievements of the extreme feature of news in China were summarized and the regrets left in history were checked,hence providing some references and thinking for writing studies of other journalism styles.
