The Design And Implementation Of MBSE Requirement Modeling And Tracing System For Complex Product

Requirement modeling is the first step in the development of complex products.It aims to provide a right and proper requirement document for the development process.Meanwhile,requirement changes exist through the lifecycle of a project,from the beginning,to development and to maintenance.Without the tracing of requirement effectively,the development will continually change.As a result,it will increase the cost and delay the progress,which could eventually lead to project failures.The development process of complex products is firstly studied in this thesis.Due to the inherent complexity and abstraction,model-based system engineering(MBSE)is used as the guidance in the development of complex products.The significance of requirement development and management is explored through domestic and foreign researches and related statistics.Then the general process of MBSE requirement development and management is summarized.After that,a MBSE requirement modeling and tracing system is designed and implemented.Requirement modeling is responsible for expressing requirement in the development process.Through a series of itemized operations,such as importing,editing,relating,and with the help of MBSE models,the user requirement can be transformed into system requirement.Requirement tracing aims to trace the requirement and manage its changes in the management process.The main research and innovation work is as follows:1.Two requirement modeling methods are proposed based on items and diagrams.The MBSE requirement modeling process is also refined in this study.Meanwhile,the transformation between these two modeling methods is studied.2.A data structure,requirement tracing link,is designed to establish the relationship between requirements.Based on it,two applications,requirement tracing matrix and hierarchical analysis tool,are developed.The general process of requirement changing and tracing is also given.3.The MBSE requirement modeling and tracing system is developed for complex products.Requirements can be obtained,represented,edited,correlated with each other and thus can be traced and managed in the system.Finally,a complex system,the ballistic missile defence(BMD)of USA is used to demonstrate the proposed method and the developed system.
