Research Of Management Of Requirement And Its Change In Information System Project

Management of requirement and its change in information system(IS) and its tool are the hot point in the IS engineering and software engineering. Management of requirement and its change is the base of the whole developing process of information system project and one of the critical success factors of the project. In recent years, as the scale and the application of information system become lager and wider, more attentions for the research about IS is paied to the requirement engineering. Three aspects are included in requirement engineering of IS; they are requirement gaining, requirement analysis and requirement management. The results of the requirement gaining and analysis are the object of the requirement management. On the other hand, the requirement management assures the process of the requirement gaining and analysis. So these aspects are related closely.In this dissertation, the practical requirement management of current IS is analyzed. According to ISO9000 and CMM, the standard requirement management of IS is summarized; the primary contents and management methods in the every stages of the whole requirement engineering are studied; the conclusion is that a great deal of requirement, requirement tracing and requirement change managed only by manual is not enough, so automatical requirement management by requirement management tool is a better solution.Experts and organization abroad developed several requirement management tools, such as RequisitePro, DOORS and so on. But these existing requirement management tools still have some deficiencies and can't support the Chinese user very well. Inside of our country, the research about requirement management theory is superficial, the practice about developing requirement management tool is more lacked.Aiming at the current research state about requirement management, in this dissertation, the academic knowledge of requirement management is expatiated; theadvantages and disadvantages of the existing requirement management tools are analyzed; and a requirement management tool—RCMT based on B/S architecture is constructed. In this dissertation, the design and realization of RCMT is put forward. This tool is constructed in the B/S architecture and it can manage and trace the business requirement, use case requirement and function requirement of IS project. Also, when some requirements must be changed, this tool can provide the impact analysis to the project leader. And then the leader can control the whole developing process. At last, the next task is introduced.
