Research On The Anomie Of Children Missing Events Reports

In recent years,children missing events with great impact happened frequently throughout the country,such as "Car theft and infant killing in Changchun","Missing of 5-year-old boy Wang Minghan in Xinxiang" and "Missing of three children in Pujiang,Zhejiang".Such events triggered a quick spread on network,microblogging,WeChat and other new media,and comprehensive coverage in radio,newspapers,television and other traditional media,leading to universal concern,and becoming a social hot spot.The social impact of children missing is not just a short-term effect formed in a given activity of the media,but in the long run,all the coverage made by the mass communication as a whole over a longer period of time has resulted in more extensive,serious,long-term social effects.In the Internet age,with the rapid development and popularization of new media technology,the disappearance of children also presents new features.Its own emotional elements make these events have a prominent topic and sensitivity,and can quickly attract the attention of the public,enabling the effective and rapid dissemination of information,and posing a new challenge to the emergency ability and public opinion guide ability of the media.In order to present the problems in the reports of the missing events of children in our country and explore the countermeasures,the author has studied 20 children missing events with great influence in the country from 2013 to 2016,with the research objects based on the coverage in the Metropolitan Daily in the places of the events,also focusing on the coverage on newspaper-related sites,WeChat,microblogging and other new media.There are 188 related reports.After analysis of a large number of samples in the background of the times,the main part of this paper analyzes the contents,forms and dissemination effects of relevant reports.The study found that the truthful reporting of missing events of children by the media caused widespread concern and rapid spread and satisfied the public right to know,and strong public opinions played a positive role in deterring the criminals and popularizing the legal knowledge;moreover,the media publicizes widely the information on missing children,mobilizes the broad masses of people to be involved in the search for missing children,and plays an important role in assisting the public security organs to solve the cases and helping the return of missing children to their families.All of these embody the media's social responsibility and public service awareness.Furthermore,there are many anomie phenomena in reports of children missing events.The details of the form and content of the reports are featured by inaccuracy,serious homogeneity,lack of depth,and tendentiousness.In order to catch the eyes,and meet the audience psychology,media reports universally aim to excessive rendering and speculation,with the entertainment-oriented tendency.They are mainly manifested in the excessive sensational rendering,and consumption of public sentiment;highlighting the irritability,and describing in detail the crimes.In addition,due to the lack of awareness of media self-discipline,improper means of interviewing and excessive exploitation of privacy frequently cause news injury and infringement.Existence of these phenomena and problems have weakened the professional spirit of media of upholding independent objective positions and providing true and accurate coverage,and reflected the lack of professional ethics and ignorance of social responsibility by media collecting and editing staff.In the light of the media anomie,the paper chooses the typical cases,and analyzes the causes of the problems in the reports of children missing from the perspective of news production practice.The study found that,in the news production practice,media is subject to professional control,publicity control and market control.In the real media environment,various control factors affect the expression of media in the journalism professionalism,professional ethics and social responsibility,thus forming constraints on specific news reports.Finally,this paper explores the problems in the reports of children missing by strengthening the concept of journalism professionalism,strengthening the humanistic care and enhancing the social responsibility.First of all,in the interviewing and reporting activities,carry out thorough investigation and verification,maximize the approach to essential reality,and spread the real and accurate news reports in time to meet the public right to know and to compress the rumor generation space.Be good at thinking,and actively tap the news value.Not only report the event itself,but also see through the appearance to perceive the essence,guide the public to reflect the social problems behind the event and explore the solution.Interview should be objective and comprehensive,and pay attention to the balance of the coverage.Note the choice of the information sources and the balance between choices of information,and report the views and opinions of all parties truthfully to ensure the complete presentation of multiple opinions and views.Secondly,in the reporting,focus on humanistic care,and strengthen professional ethics.When engaged in news production activities,the collecting and editing personnel should avoid damage to the parties due to non-standard operation.Adhere to the people-orientation,try to avoid and reduce the adverse effects of coverage on the relevant personnel.In particular,pay attention to the protection of the interests of children and adhere to the "The Principle of Best Interests of Children".In the coverage,use children pseudonym flexibly,and carry out the fuzzy treatment of their visual images,to protect privacy and portrait rights of children.In addition,in coverage of children missing events,the media shall enhance social responsibility,and emphasize the social benefits of the news.Reporters should clearly know their own job responsibility locations,and establish the correct news values to prevent excessive entertainment of news reports from causing rational absence.The media should have a clear understanding of their own missions,responsibilities and roles,utilize the supervision of public opinion function rationally,and cultivate legal accomplishment,to avoid tendentious reports,and media trials.At present,there is no systematic study on the report of missing children.The topic of this paper is suitable for the current media hot spots,which opens up a new field for the study of children reports.In this paper,the feasibility of the proposal for the media editors to avoid and resolve the problems and risks of such reports are of reference.
