RFID(radio frequency identification)technology is one of the most important means to achieve the object interconnection,object identification.Since the 21st century,information explosion has produced a huge social impetus with the information revolution and the development of artificial intelligence.RFID technology are occupying the items data information access to the very important position whether in the field of IOT(Internet of Things)or in the field of big data and artificial intelligence.With the rapid development of RFID technology and applications,different application scenarios for RFID tag performance requirements continue to increase,so it is a meaningful direction of research to meet the different standards of RFID tags performance testing in high frequency and ultra high frequency RFID.RFID tag performance includes the minimum activation power of the label in different environments,the best operating frequency,the best read and write distance,the label direction pattern.Current market urgently needs to improve the performance of tags for different application scenarios.The software radio method give us a great help on different manufacturers,different protocols,different operating frequency,different specifications,different scenarios of RFID tag performance testing,RFID tags on the manufacturing industry,the application of RFID selection and research.In this paper,through the introduction of HF and UHF RFID tags and tag reader communication process,the characteristics of the antenna,the tag performance's test system hardware framework design and PC-side application software algorithm to understand the RFID tag's test system,the basic functions and the usual performance measurement and different protocol test waveforms.I introduced how to test the performance of HF and UHF tags including transmit power,backscatter power,tag orientation,tag read and write distance,tag reader and tag communication for different environments.The performance of the system shows through the Windows platform application about waveform,icon,table,man-machine operation display,and finally I will introduce the RFID tag performance test system in the RFID field environment applications.
