In the past three decades,in the wake of the "embodiment turn"in cognitive science, the "multisensory turn" in neuroscience and psychology, and the booming sensory studies across the humanities and social sciences, the concept of'multi-sensation"gradually influenced the area of museum. The benefits of multisensory learning and the difference of perceptual learning style among individuals enlightens the museum on providing multi-sensation to visitors and allowing them to construct museum experiences through their own conventional kinds of perception.Contemporary museums affected by the tradition of oeulareentrism have started rethinking the multiple restrictions on the use of the senses in the museum and begun actively soliciting the senses instead. The museum should start to consider the intellectual and emotional feature and value of touch, hearing, smell, taste, proprioception and so on which beyond sight, and to explore the corresponding application ways and technical support.Futhermore,in the museum practice, the set and presentation of the multi-sensation information should be carefully considered placed into the specific background. The actual amount of multi-sensation information is of less importance, otherwise, supported by spatial memory, information from different senses can be meaningfully integrated is of primary importance. In the context of museum, embodied explorations of anthropology collections can prompt dynamic emotional and intellectual connections and these experiences are supported by storytelling. Finally as technology advances, more and more technology, such as 3D technology and augmented reality technology can help improve the practice of multisensory museum. The future of multisensory museum will be clear but we still have a long way to go.
