With the rapid development of network communication technology, people put forward higher demand for the quality of information. Specifically, information in the field of voice and video increases in a mass way. The updated requirements have also been put forward in the metropolitan area network (MAN) technology and its running environment. Previously, copper strand conductors were used as the media of the corresponding network system that accessed and constructed by the synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH). However, from the practical standpoint, simple use of SDH technology and copper strand conductors cannot meet the demands of modern society for mass information.GPON (Gigabit-Capable PON) is referred to as "Gigabit-capable passive optical network", the latest integrated access standard for broadband passive optical network on the basis of Standard ITU-TG.984.x. Taking optical fiber as its media for information transmission, GOPN technology can overcome the bottleneck of information to a great extent, whose advantages mainly include large transmission capacity, good transmission quality, high reliability, long transmission distance and elimination of electromagnetic interference. It is difficult for the original MAN network frame based on SDH in Changchun Mobile to adapt to the fierce competition in communication market. In order to improve the quality of network transmission to meet the needs of market development in a better way, Changchun Mobile has to update and revamp existing MAN in software and hardware substantially, which will not only improve the bandwidth capacity and quality, but also protect the brand image of Changchun Mobile, making adequate preparation for its future development.In this thesis, the reconstruction scheme of metropolitan access network of Changchun Mobile based on GPON is studied. First, staring from the bandwidth, load mode and technical features, the research background, significance as well as the domestic and foreign status are explained, and the differences among APON (ATM Passive Optical Network), EPON EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) and GPON are compared with focus on the analysis of system architecture and networking schemes in GPON technology. Then, the general planning for MAN in Changchun Mobile is determined according to its current situation and reconstruction demand, thereby the detailed design plan is proposed. Taking GPON reconstruction projects of a housing estate in Changchun and a broadband access FTTH (Fiber To The Home) as examples, the GPON revamping engineering practice programs of Changchun Mobile metropolitan access network are elaborated. In the final summary, the existing deficiencies are pointed out during the revamping projects of MAN, and the prospects for further work is proposed. This thesis focuses on the GPON reconstruction project of Changchun Mobile metropolitan area access network and related key issues, and a fairly complete construction plan has been put forward. The metropolitan area access network is reconstructed under the GPON revamping principles of MAN in Changchun Mobile. The technical features and existing resources are taken into full consideration. The proposed scheme will reduce the revamping cost. It is shown in the engineering practices that the proposed design scheme can meet the construction demands of MAN in Changchun Mobile, which will improve the transmission quality of MAN and satisfy the broadband consumers with high cost performance. The scheme proposed upon GPON technology can provide reference frame for the future construction of MAN. |
