At the beginning of the Xizhou dynasty,our country had the place to keep the archives,due to the limitations of social development at that time,which is did not have the special records keeping organization to manage the archives work.After the development of the Xizhou dynasty,Han and Tang dynasties,based on the need to maintain the regime,the ancient archives work gradually to the attention of the rulers,the construction of archives institutions also constantly in progress.Deck former dynasties to song dynasty,in order to avoid a repeat of the "Chenqiao mutiny","heavy text suppress a squash" became the statecraft of the song dynasty,rulers to take various measures to strengthen the autocratic centralization,also makes the paperwork of archives work under management are more strict,the Song dynasty can under the circumstances of the problems we face at home and abroad last several hundred years,the custodian institution setting and its importance to archives is related.Standing on the basis of previous studies,this paper first comb the development of the Song dynasty archives institutions history origin,summarizes the development of the ancient archives institutions from weak to strong,from scattered to centralized evolution process,and analyzes the evolution of the rule and influencing factors.The accumulation of the previous dynasties was the key to the establishment of the archives depository institutions of the song dynasty and the advanced archives management,from the Song dynasty in the archives institutions,staff selection,system construction and so on three aspects of the main content of this article,and the dialectical analysis,evaluation in the song dynasty archives cabinet library for typical song dynasty's archives work and contribution in the position in the development of Chinese ancient archives work,which is to point out the significance of the method of management of the depository institution in the song dynasty.
