A Study On The Compilation Of Private Archives And Documents In Song Dynasty

Archives and documents compilation is an important way to preserve ancient precious historical materials.Its important role of "merit in the contemporary era,benefit in the Qianqiu period" has been highly valued by the rulers of all dynasties.In Song Dynasty,when the economy was highly prosperous and the policy of"advocating Confucianism and literature" was carried out,the activities of archives and documents compilation were very active.In order to promote the development of the activities of archives and documents compilation,the rulers at that time not only Official and specialized compilation institutions such as History Museum,Living Courtyard,Zhongshu Current Affairs Recording Room,Yuxue Institute and Calendar Institute were set up,and private compilation activities were also tolerated.In Song Dynasty,it was stipulated that private history writing should be presented to the court and many officials should be transferred to receive awards.As a result,the compilation of private archives in Song Dynasty is not only abundant in quantity,but also of high quality,which has become an important part of the compilation of archives in Song Dynasty.In the preface,this paper introduces the research purpose,research significance,research status,research methods and innovations of the compilation of archives and documents in the Song Dynasty,aiming at analyzing the research value and research progress of this paper,so as to pave the way for the development of the following.The second part of the paper is summary of song dynasty private documents are compiled,among them first on the meaning of literature,archives literature,history,literature and the relationship,the documents compiled relation with historical documents compiled by the defined and to show the ancient documents are compiled with the internal relations between historiography and historical philology,and then again to private documents compiling activities in song dynasty to development conditions and expatiates on the course of its development,from the general direction to understand the development of private documents compiling activity of song dynasty.The third part of the paper is the main part of this article.It mainly summarizes the achievements of the compilation of private archives in the Song Dynasty.In the narrati've process,in order to make a scientific summary,this paper adopts the classification system of the achievements of the compilation of archives and documents in the Song Dynasty in Liu Gengsheng's Archives Compilation Science,which is divided into five categories as follows:the compilation of legal documents,the compilation of imperial edicts,and the Jin Dynasty,The compilation of stone archives,the system history with archival materials as the main part,and the chronological historical materials with archival materials as the main part.Therefore,according to such a classification system,this paper elaborates on the representative achievements in the compilation of private archives in Song Dynasty.In the process of elaboration,it is mainly divided into three parts:first,the background introduction of the compilation results;second,the situation of the material collection of the compilation results;third,the compilation methods of the compilation results.The fourth part of the paper is the characteristics of the compilation of private archives in Song Dynasty.In order to correspond with the above,this part mainly summarizes the characteristics from the three angles of compiler,material selection and compilation order.In terms of compilers,this paper elaborates on the three characteristics of "having certain family origin","serving as a court historian" and some influenced by regional historiography".In the aspect of material acquisition,it summarizes the emphasis on textual research from the aspect of "completeness" and"authenticity".In the aspect of cataloguing,firstly,it explains the sequence of time,event,order and multi-level classification in the category setting,and secondly,it describes the characteristics of supplementary text and postscript in the style arrangement.The fifth part of the paper is the function of private archives compilation in SongDynasty.It mainly studies its influence from three perspectives:official archives compilation,private archives compilation,bibliography and collation in Song Dynasty,in order to reveal its positive significance in history.This paper systematically combs the achievements of the compilation of private archives in Song Dynasty,deeply studies its characteristics and significance,hoping to be helpful to the academic circles on the compilation of archives in Song Dynasty,the history of Song Dynasty and the compilation of private archives in Song Dynasty.
