Physical Unclonable Function(PUF)is a function that maps challenges to responses and embedded in a physical device.By utilizing the process variability,it can be an identity for a physical device which is unclonable and unpredictable.Because of its unclonability and unpredictability properties,it's suitable for key generation and storage, system identity and IP protection. There are some shortcomings in traditional PUFs,such as low resource utilization ratio, weak anti-noise ability, and poor uniqueness and so on.With the increasing demands of security,PUF has been a research hotspot in the field of hardware security. For solving the problems above, the following work was done:1.Bring the idea of repetition code into delay variable unit to construct a multiple delay variable unit, which has high resource utilization ratio, could correct errors and resist noise.Based on the delay ring database for FPGA,variable delay model was built. With this model, the simulation of multiple delay variable units was carried out, whose result was compared with that of neighbor pairing and 1 of k methods.Furthermore, multiple delay variable units were implemented on FPGA,and by the help of hard-macro technology, the multiple delay variable source was realized.2.Reserve the original data of PUF source using differential structure, and the tectonic difference of delay was handled by difference grouping, which can reduce the system variability and improve the uniqueness. The simulation was carried out based on the model of 1,whose result was compared with that of a single ring group method.3.The delay aging model was introduced. The delay aging of PUF was analyzed and the result of HSPICE simulation was in accordance with the model. The model is effective.
