With the informationization gradually accelerated,the transmission of information is no longer limited to the newspaper,radio,television and other traditional media.Video-on-demand as a new media have been closely linked with people's lives,all kinds of video sites have emerged,welcomed by users.Agricultural VOD start late,but develop rapidly in recent years,farmers for acceptance of information technology is also rising,needing agricultural VOD.Building agricultural VOD system,can be wider and more effective dissemination of information and technology,and increase farmers' access to information so that information technology to serve three rural service better.This study relies on major innovations of agricultural application technology in Shandong Province,based on the previous full investigation,purposefully collect video,and pick out a few good quality,suitable for the province,farmers easy to accept video from existing agricultural huge video data,Reclassification and finishing,establishing a video resource library.According to the demand for system design,complete the development of the database and the module to achieve the expected function,developed a set of agricultural VOD system.System based on B/S structure,running on the Windows platform,using Apache,MySQL and PHP.The system includes front-end page and back-end management,Front page display content and interaction,according to different user rights,to achieve video query,on-demand,upload,download and other functions,to meet the needs of users of agricultural VOD and enhanced interactivity.According to the system characteristics,all video using FLV format,with HTTP progressive download for transmission,in order to ensure video clarity and playback fluency;The system uses background management,administrators can achieve system management,video management,section management,user management and other functions.The system uses modern information technology,relying on the Internet to disseminate agricultural knowledge,technology,will become an effective way to promote agricultural information.
