As the high-speed developing of Internet,the online media has been entering a new ara,which was called ‘We media'.The public are allowed to propagate and share their life through social media.Decentration of media is becoming a trend which will result in the inflation of information.From the point of view of attention economy,this phenomenon are contribute to the buyer's market of attention.The supply is much larger than the demand and the capacity of attention.Competition of attention tends to be extremely intense,which derives a new measure to defeat the competitors——‘Attention cheating'.This paper was written on the basis of a range of theory including the theory of communication,psychology,cognitive theory,marketing and the attention economy.So s to make the research results more objective,a series of research methods are also indispensable.Such as content analysis,sampling survey method,and case analysis method.Generally speaking,this paper has defined the concept of ‘Attention cheating in social media'.In addition,the difference among ‘cheating' ‘swindle' and ‘forge' are particularly mentioned at the beginning.More importantly,the conduct of attention cheating in social media was classified and observed in a range of practical cases.Further more,the ethical and social problem was put forward to alert the negative influence of attention cheating in social media.At the conclusion of the article,original direction of research was posted,which need further study.
