With the rise of the concept of Industry 4.0, the domestic manufacturing industry meets new opportunities and challenges. Many enterprises are accelerating the transformation from traditional production mode to intelligent manufacturing mode. MES is an important link of intelligent manufacturing. Equipment management system is an indispensable function module of MES. Automation conveyor line is the main carrier of the discrete manufacturing industry. With the rapid development of industrial control technology such as PLC and HMI, the degree of automation of conveyor line is increasingly high. However, the informatization construction of conveyor line is in the development lag state, whose management level and efficiency is low. In order to improve the current situation of automation conveyor line, to adapt to the development trend of the new period, an equipment management system based on MES is designed in this paper, with the example of the Haier refrigerator door conveyor line. The aim is to solve the problems caused by the insufficient informatization of the equipment management in the automation conveyor line, and to provide a reference case for the future research on discrete MES and equipment management system.In this paper, through researching the functional model of MES and equipment management system, combining with the actual operation situation of the refrigerator door conveyor line, the system requirements are completely analyzed; the overall architecture of MES and the function structure of equipment management system are designed. The system is developed by use of the Visual Studio 2010, taking SQL Server 2008 as the database, based on the C/S structure; the system includes production monitoring, fault alarming, maintenance management, lubrication management, archives management, inspection management, spare parts management, document management, user management, etc. The communication between the system and Siemens PLC is realized based on the TCP protocol; the communication between the system and WinCC is realized based on OPC interface; the system visits the database via the ADO interface.After the successful test, the system has been practically applied, which significantly improves the efficiency of the equipment management in the refrigerator door conveyor line, and reduces the maintenance cost and labor cost, and brings long-term benefit for the enterprise.
