The intelligent combat training system referred to herein are based on computer and other information technology. It brings the computer technology, communication, image processing, and integrated circuits together to detect the target timely. According to image processing result, the system calculates soldiers' track, shot information and scores. The system can greatly improve the training safety and shorten the response time.Combat training includes live-fire, group confrontation, cooperative engagement. It can improve soldier's individual and teamwork skills. Thus, it is one of the fundamental courses in military training. Live-fire is prohibited in traditional combat training. That deteriorated the realty of training. Live-fire training usually brings serious security problem. The purpose of moving target detection is to locate and track soldier's movement in combat training system. Target detection is the premise and key to locating and tracking, i.e., recognizing the identity of the soldier. In the image processing based combat training system, each soldier taking part in the training is assigned with a unique code for identification. The aim of online coding and transmission research for tags in positioning system is to dynamically allocate the code to the soldiers joining in the training system to meet with requirement of speed and response time. An ARM-based implementation of online coding is discussed in the paper. Tag with different coding sends its own unique signal sequence(called signal ID) via infrared light-emitting diodes as the identification code. Soldiers equipped with such tag moving around in training field. Infrared camera captures every soldier's track. In camera, target represented with signal ID can be inferred from the results of image processing; the position and unique signal ID are determined by signal sequence decoding. Online coding unit fabricates all signal ID according to the de-noise and speed requirement. These coding can be downloaded into tag via I2 C bus interface. With such design, we need not modify program in signal ID re-assignment.
