Recently years, modern science and technology is developing rapidly, interdisciplinary technology demonstrates its strong technological advantages and application prospects. The cross-study integration of optics and electronics result in the generation of a new discipline—opto-electronics. The combine of electronic technology and computer technology forms embedded technology. The infrared communication systems are a product of general application of the embedded technology and photonics technology.This paper can be divided into five parts. In chapter one, the development and application of infrared communication technology and embedded technology are introduced, and the current research situation at home and abroad, the advantages of infrared communication systems are also analyzed, and the propose to improve the infrared communication system , the work we m. In chapter two the modulation and demodulation of photoelectric signal, the description of a system light selection and signal detection, and how to choose the components are presented. In chapter three and four the RF module with USB interface, and the infrared emission and reception system are designed; chapter five is the debug and experiment of embedded infrared communication system.In this paper, the main jobs are:(1) Studied the short-range wireless radio frequency communication technology, designed the radio frequency module using high-speed SOC (system-on-chip) C8051F010 and RF transceiver chip CC1100 as the main control unit. Use the USB to serial chip designed the RF module communicate with the host computer.(2) Designed infrared countermeasure systems based on embedded technology and infrared communication technology use Atmega16L.(3) Programmed the software of the embedded infrared communication system, hardware drivers and signal process.(4) Give the experiment of system information transmission error rate and transmission distance.(5) Give united debug of the system and the solution encountered in debugging process. Innovation: use the PWM mode of AVR MCU create the precise 38KHz carrier but without the use of the CPU, collimator and focus system was added to the launch and receive part, get good results.
