The Design And Implementation Of The Infrared Communication Module

Today the infrared communications technology is a kind of short-range wirlesscommunication technology adopted widely in the world. This paper introduces thebasic principle of infrared protocol. By the infrared application program in this paperthe two BoChuang development boxes with the infrared modules can communicateeach other. The program consists of the host computer program and the lowermachine program, respectively named the basic infrared communication program andthe infrared communications console program. The host computer program is runningon the PC and the lower machine program is running on the development box.On the basis of the S3C2410-S ARM9experimental development box ofBoChuang Company, the basic lower-machine program is achieved on a serial portaccording to SIR standard. With the Qt graphical library we develop a visual infraredcommunication console program on host computer by C++programming language inthe linux system.When the infrared communication application programs on the both platformsare running, the host computer sends the command and data to control the lowermachine. When the two PC are both set in infrared communication mode, the lowermachine receives the data from the host computer and sends the data by theTFDU4100. Another lower machine receives the data and sends to the host computerthrough the serial port. Then the data is displayed on the console. This is the wholecommunication process.From the above infrared communication theory, we can know the infraredcommunication is a half-duplex wireless communication. After the communication isfinished and the infrared mode is exchanged on two development boxes, the receiverbecomes the sender and the sender becomes the receiver.
