Application of data center in the enterprise is more and more widely seen during the development of network. Being the unit which is used to build the data center, the density of server cabinet is continually increasing. At the same time, due to the increase of server performance and power, the quantity of components and power dissipation has also increased dramatically. This leads to a higher impedance of the server, and higher heat flux, and the thermal performance becomes more and more worse. All this seriously affect the performance of cabinet and even cause thermal failure. According to this phenomenon, several fans are used to cool server in current market, but this way causes higher cost and lower thermal performace.In order to solve this issue, here topic provides a scheme of share fan to cooling more server, and there is no fan installated in server inside. This improved the thermal performance and solves the thermal issue of data center. The research content as simulation for cabinet an server cooling, design system thermal solution, design fan size and performance parameters, confirms its placement. Design heatsink and optimized thermal solution. Finished auto fan speed control for variety condition.Now, the scheme has gone through in simulation and thermal test, and the result shows that all components can meet thermal spec, also shows that the design using auto fan speed control can meet variety of conditions.
