As one of the essential parts of a certain weapon, the down-conversion combination of the radar's receiver supplies the processing and the transforming of the microwave signals. In the case of failure, signals cannot be normally received, hence would eventually cause the missing of the target. Therefore, the high-efficiency auto test system is necessary to ensure the research and development(R&D) and the production of the down-conversion combination of the radar's receiver.Based on analyzing of the testing requirements for the radar receiver combination, we classifies these needs into sevaral categories as : the testing and surveillance of system power supply, the remote control for general test instruments, the export of the testing report, etc. For easy maintenance, the architecture of this design is based on the widely used GPIB and PXI bus techniques; also the Lab Windows/CVI is adopted as software development platform.We design and implement several modules to meet the test requirement of the system: the power supply CPCI card, the local oscillator CPCI card and others. Different voltage converting designs are proposed according to demands of driving capabilities of positive and negative supply powers. This des ign also accomplishes the generation of multi-channel TTL signals based on the various demands of control signals.In our design, Lab Windows/CVI is utilized as the the development platform to accomplish the software of CPCI cards, also the driver of these cards are developed with VISA in Lab Windows/CVI. The microsoft Access is adopted to store and further process the parameters of noise, gain, scope consistency, attenuation, neighborhood restraining. By applying modular design methodology, user interfaces with stability, reliability, full-function and user-friendly features are accomplished.The design of this paper has already been adopted in pratical engineering for validation of high efficiency and reliability.
