Research In The Application Of The Automatic Test System Of Military Transmitter-Receiver

For a long time, military transmitter-receivers were designed for specific purpose, the testing of military transmitter-receivers was a complex, labor intensive and time consuming testing process. Therefore, we designed an automatic test system for a certain type of military transmitter-receivers.This paper studies principle of the test index and a certain type transmitter-receiver, analyses and summarizes the functional requirements of transmitter-receiver automatic test system. Then we design an automatic test system which composed by the PC,8920 RF Communications Test Set, the tested transmitter-receiver, standard transmitter-receiver and the test-control system. The PC associates a composite tester through the standard GPIB port, and communicates with homemade control test system and transmitter-receivers through the RS232 interface.In the hardware design of the test control system, considering working voltage, time sequence and the design cost, we use a single-chip microcomputer 89C51 as the master,16C1550 to extend UART, MAX3237 to converse the level,74HC595 to change serial signal to parallel signal and 8 digital switches to achieve the switch method of remote signal of the homemade transmitter-receiver control system.In the PC software design, we use the graphical programming language Agilent VEE to design the automatic test software for the transmitter-receiver test system. According to the modularization ideas and the test index, we divide the test software into several modules, to implement the control of the operation of test and analysis equipment, and control of the switch method of remote signal of the homemade transmitter-receiver control system., and control of the standard and tested transmitter-receiver's operating mode and parameters setting, in order to achieve the automatic testing for the indicators.The automatic test system of the transmitter-receiver described in this paper is the pioneering automatic test system for certain type of transmitter-receiver at home, which has friendly user interface, stable operation, reliable results, good openness and flexibility. It is simple to use and the results can be displayed and saved as Excel format. This system can reduce the workload of testers, improve the production efficiency and save cost. This automatic test system has been used in the actual test of the transmitter-receiver, and achieved good results.
