With the advantages of flexible waveform generation, adaptive interference suppression and so on, digital array radar (DAR) would be the inevitable option for future high-performances and multi-function radar. Digital T/R modules are the key components of DAR. The quantities of digital T/R modules are huge in each DAR, so automatically testing system (ATS) for performance measurement of digital T/R module is indispensable in all stages of radar system research, design, manufacture and maintenance.In this thesis, a digital T/R combination testing system is researched based on the program of tracking-and-guiding radar. Firstly, the composition and the operation principle of the digital T/R module are introduced, and the technical specification of its ATS is proposed. On this basis, the hardware and software realization schemes of ATS and the related circuit board are designed, followed with the software design implementation of the ATS. The ATS contains a printed circuit board, test software (programs on FPGA and computer respectively), and related instruments. At last, the detailed testing procedure and the testing results of the analog T/R module, ten-channel T/R software defined radio board and digital T/R combination are given. The testing results show that the designed ATS can increase the testing efficiency of single module, circuit board and combination.
