In these years,the gap between performance and bandwidth of CPU is widening.Interconnect bus is becoming the bottleneck of the development of high-speed computation and processor system. To deal with the problem,RapidIO technology emerges.With the increase of the use of mobile multimedia services and the amount of information in big data time.traditional unicast technology hasn't met the necessity of transmission.However,multicast technology shares internet resources and provides the same service for a crowd of customers at the same time,which improves the utilization of internet resources and reduces energy consumption.Multicast module in switching chip makes data transmission more efficient.In conclusion,multicast module is the vital part of switching chip,which deserves deep research.The method of this subject is dynamic verification based on simulation.Firstly,design and build testbench,make testcases based on the features of multicast module,then make verification plan about each testcases.Secondly,simulate on the testbench and make conclusions by analyzing the waveforms.Then contrast the results and design index.If there has to be difference,modify the verification process.Lastly,complete the whole functional verification process of multicast module.Verilog HDL is the language for testbench and stimulus,VCS is the tool for simulation.In the design of testbench,the endpoint devices act as providers for transmitting data and carriers for receiving packets,and multicast module acts as DUT.The endpoint devices produce and transmit packets,and multicast module completes multi-transmission,meanwhile,the endpoint devices analyze and receive them. The testbench is composed of two main parts:the endpoint device and DUT,the endpoint device is made up of 4 parts:the logic module,the buffer module,the physics module and the register management module.Theseendpoint devices input five testcases into DUT,then simulate to generate waveforms and logs,make conclusions by analyzing them.At the end of verification,the coverage will be collected,including code coverage and functional coverage.This switching chip not only plays a significant role in the field of radar and spaceflight,but also the use of economic countermeasures,warship control system,image display system,fire control system,aircraft instrument and military communication system. Therefore,this study has important significance in military communication technology and aerospace field.
