Today, the world is in a period of rapid development of information technology. LTE wireless network has been the inevitable result of the reform and innovation of wireless communication technology. Due to the advantages of LTE technology, LTE wireless network to a certain extent, ease the growing demand for high data rates and tension between the spectrum of resources. In this context, how to build and operate and maintain a good LTE wireless network are telecom operators concerned about. Therefore, the research of LTE wireless network planning and optimization is of great significance.In this thesis, firstly, we start with the introduction of the technical characteristic and the network structure of LTE, analysis the differences and similarities of 2G,3G and LTE wireless network planning and optimization. summarize the characteristic and flow of LTE wireless network planning and network optimization combining with the methods of 2G,3G wireless network planning and optimization.Then with the help of the simulation we analysis the key parameters effecting on coverage and system capacity in LTE radio network planning and network optimization, including uplink budget and downlink budget, the relationship between the edge rate and the cell coverage, and contrast with the WCDMA wireless network coverage,analysis the relationship between LTE capacity and system parameters, estimate and analysis the users of VoIP. Finally, we illustrate the co-location interference between FDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA, mainly including spurious interference and adiacent channel interference and give the relationship between the co-location interference and the distance between the transmitter and the receiver and the filter's attenuation characteristic based on using the antenna seperation scheme. The study of this thesis will make beneficial exploration for the future construction and planning of LTE network and provide the academic instruction.
