Td-scdma System Capacity, Coverage Analysis And Planning Process

TD-SCDMA (Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Address) is China's own 3G standard. After several years fast development, it is growing mature no matter in standard itself or in implementation. After the issuing of 3G mobile telephone licences in the begining of 2009,China Mobile has depolymentd TD-SCDMA network in 238 cities, and the current network running condition proves that the TD-SCDMA technology has completely fulfilled each requirement of the IMT-2000.Coverage and capacity are the two most important aspects in wireless network planning. Especially in the initialized stage of constructing, Coverage is the most important one. Grasping the key features and strategy of coverage is critical for TD-SCDMA network constructing. Additionally, the goal for network planners to keep on pursuing is to maximize the system capacity, improve the spectrum usability and maximize the network's ROI on the condition of keeping certain extent of network performance.First, by analyzing the functions of some special and unique techniques of TD-SCDMA system such as frame structure,processing gain,smart antenna,joint detection,relay handover, this thesis analyzes and calculates the link budget of various voice and date services, and concludes the theoretic coverage ability and the main limitation factor on the coverage. Second, the TD-SCDMA system's theoretic capacity was analyzed and calculated, from the two points of view, interference-restricted and code-restricted, and the main limitation factor on the TD-SCDMA system's capacity was concluded by this thesis.Finally,combined with a case of a constructing enlarged TD-SCDMA trial network, this thesis gives a concrete coverage and capacity network planning, hopes to serve as a reference for operators to construct their commercial network.
