With the development of military logistics, military warehouse management also entered the defense information age. In order to meet the real demand of a military base material storage management, a three-dimensional military warehouse management system is designed and implemented in this paper. The three-dimensional military warehouse management system developed in this subject, which is closed to reality and is satisfied with management needs. The problems of military warehouse management can be solved effectively by using the system. Three criteria can be reached, which is "management authority given person, to uniquely identify a given object, detailed coordinate positioning". Storage management informations can be carried out in three-dimensional environment by warehouse managers, and it's easy to retrieve and take three-dimensional cross-checking, and the WYSIWYG result will be achieved.The paper meet the actual needs of the military warehouse management. The main contents of this research are represented as follows:1. The utilization of shelf under multi-constrained conditions is researched. To maximize storage space utilization, the modular shelf parametric is mathematical modeled, layout for placing materials is analyzed within unit cell, optimal dimensions of modular unit is calculated, which can be used as layout for materials and reference for planning of storage. The software of layout is designed, when materials are put in storage, precise calculation is taken, and layout will be showed in graphical guidance, the number of attempts could be reduced, the efficiency of storage will be improved.2. According to the features of Open Inventor, the modeling and displaying of three-dimensional model is researched. The static modeled are imported in scene library, such as reservoir model, storage model and shelf model, and the dynamic Modeled are displayed such as small containers and cartons.3. Applications of 3D interactive are researched in the warehousing business. By traversing the master sets libraries, make the selected warehouse or crate the default action, and feedback the result of selection. The technology of drag and collision detection is applied in 3D scene to manual place containers.4. The three-dimensional military warehouse management system is developed on the Visual Studio-based platform. By analyzing needs of the military, the system function module is divided, the workflow is analyzed, databases of storage are designed. In order to realize the function of storage and visual management and achieve the purpose of customers, MFC and Open Inventor are used as major development tools.The system has been successfully applied to the warehouse management of PLA, and the research logic of the paper is in line with the principle of software development, so it could be applied in other 3-Dimension visualization systems.
