The financial crisis has a huge impact to the entire security door market and the enterprises are urgently to improve and develop the key equipment. In this thesis, the roll forming machine is taken as an example, then, three-dimensional model is established by modeling software Solidworks. On the basis of existing virtual assembly demonstration system, the virtual assembly is achieved through writing the V code. A security door in2010is identified as the actual object and the three-dimensional model is established, then, the model is imported in Open Inventor by programming, which could implement the virtual exhibition. When a group of stick rolls forming machine are identified to the objects of study, the stress and strain analysis of the stick and plate is performed by ANSYS/LS-DYNA. And the analysis results are imported in Open Inventor to get virtual display of this project. Based on Open Inventor mechanisms of scene graph, engines and sensors, the work process simulation of roll forming machine is achieved by programing in VC++.The integrated simulation platform of virtual prototype has four functions. The internal structure of the roll forming machine is completely and clearly presented by virtual assembly features, which has laid a solid foundation for business improvement and development of key equipment; the security doors are conveniently displayed on PC by the functions of virtual products, which can save a lot of time and money for the company’s product advertisements. The problems of the stress and strain of working rollers are better understood for companies by engineering analysis visualization feature; the working principle of the roll forming machine is better understood for companies by work process simulation feature, which can greatly simplify the designing of the key components of the roller-shaped.In this thesis, the internal structures and working principle of the roll forming machine are elaborately introduced, which offer a help desk for security door companies improving equipments and developing new products, boost the appliance and promotion of virtual prototype simulation platform in companies, and help companies lay a solid foundation for open up new markets.
