Along with the popularity of computer and Internet, the on-line shopping has already become avery popular way to shop nowadays. The network shopping now is not only one fashion but also anecessary part of life, especially the young generation are crazy for this kind of way to shop.The on-line shopping has many superiorities such as convenience and economics and so oncompared to traditional shopping way, with the quick development of logistics in recentyears,on-line shopping has also made much progress in timeliness. But as a result of the limitation ofweb technology, on-line shop often displays their products according to pictures and texts. Shopperscan not know the details of the products in the website well just using these pictures; on the otherhand, many texts make it complicated and boring to purchase in on-line shop. Two-dimensionalon-line shopping doesn’t look real as real market; it is really hard for a shopper to feel the realnessand delight of shopping. How to make on-line shopping three-dimensional is a serious problem to besolved immediately.This thesis will build Wantsons virtual supermarket.After analysising the function of this virtualsupermarket, this article will elaborate three-dimensional modeling techniques, texture bakingtechnology and virtual reality technology for this Watsons virtual supermarket. We choose the popular3D modeling tool Autodesk3DMax as the modeling tool for the building of the virtual supermarket.Then choose the advanced rendering plugin’VRay’ for texture baking operation.We finally chooseVR-Platform which take the first place in domestic market share to complete the three-dimensionalvirtual platform.Watsons virtual supermarket can achieve three-dimensional visualization of the virtualsupermarket, wandering in three-dimensional scene,interactive operation and the basic function ofshopping. Any user can log on to Watson’s three-dimensional virtual supermarket and use mouse,keyboard or other computer input device to walk in the market, he can also interact with the productson the shelves. C can easily integrate into the shopping environment which makes the shoppingprocess full of novelty and pleasure.
