| With the rapid development of mobile communication networks,mobile phone terminal should not only cover the operation bands of the second generation GSM850/900/1800/1900 and the third generation UMTS2100 mobile communication systems,but also meet the requirement of the mobile systems operation bands of the fourth generation LTE2300/2500.The space for antenna is becoming smaller and smaller with the increasing size of the mobile phone.Due to the decrease of mobile phone antenna size and increase of the operation bands,miniaturization and multi-band of mobile phone terminal antenna become hot and difficult in the antenna design.First of all,two small-size mobile phone antennas are proposed in this paper.With the help of a novel distributed LC resonant circuit technology,the first antenna achieves the coverage of seven WWAN/LTE2300/2500 bands with a small size of 15×28×4mm~3.Next,the second antenna has a simple planar printed structure,and its area is only 15×36mm~2.Through the combination of a rectangular notch on the circuit board and the proposed antenna,it not only can realize ultra-thin for smart phone application,also cover eight LTE700/2300/2500/WWAN bands.The good agreement of simulated and measured results proves that the proposed two antennas are suitable for practical mobile terminal equipment.Secondly,the design of WWAN/LTE/GNSS mobile phone antenna is realized by using two different methods.The first method is based on the coupled-fed technology to achieve miniaturization and wide-band.The second method is based on the reconfigurable technology.When controlling the ―ON‖ and ―OFF‖ state of PIN diode,the proposed reconfigurable antenna can work on two different working modes to achieve the purpose of miniaturization and wide-band.And the simulated and measured results of the above two antennas have reached the design target for smart phone application.Finally,a small-size wideband MIMO antenna system for WWAN/LTE/WLAN/WiMAX mobile terminals applications is proposed in this paper.The volume of the two same antenna elements is only 12×10×3.5mm~3.After the simulated and measured results of the antenna element have been achieved,we change the three kinds of MIMO antenna arrangement,and the isolation,ECC and S parameters between the two antenna elements are compared in this paper.At last,the design of MIMO antenna system is completed successfully. |
