When the train arrives at the inspection operation field and ready to overhaul, the distribution of inspectors in the operation area is relatively dispersed in consideration of the requirements of the train inspection work standard. Therefore, it is difficult to achieve the monitoring accurately, specific position of workers, execution of operation and movement trajectory information. These would impact the real-time control of workers in the operation area and standard operation of dynamic visualization monitoring.In view of the problems of the train maintenance workers potential safety and the information transfers are not in time, this paper propose a kind of personnel location system based on RFID technology to locate train maintenance workers precisely. To choose LANDMARC algorithm based on cost and reliability, then improve the algorithm based on newton interpolation insert the virtual nodes in the system's boundary region and the nearest neighbor tags k values are also changes dynamically. The position system can locate the train maintenance workers, show the workers specific location in the work area and identify the workers effectively, so that it can realize the normalized operation steps and supervise the workers in the work area.It is need to place large amounts of active RFID tags during the process of locating the train maintenance workers because of the large position area. The prominent problem of the location system is the high power consumption. Therefore, the design of the low power consumption location system is conform to the practical applications. This thesis low power consumption tag's MCU adopts the Texas Instrument MSP430F149 microcontroller and the RF module adopts nRF24L01 chip, the reader transmit the location data to the upper computer by USB cable. In order to further reduce the power consumption and make the tag's work mode transfer between dormant state to operative state reasonably, the system should apply the interrupt latency programs.The improved of LANDMARC algorithm and designed of low power consumption are more suitable for the special environment of the train inspection operation field. The positioning system can locate the train maintenance workers more accurately, and the power consumption is also reduced effectively. It is more easily to solve the difficulties of workers positioning and real-time dynamic display operation steps in the monitoring system of train inspection operation field.The interface of this thesis has some features such as operate simply, strong compatibility, friendly interface. It can connect with other railway operation management software perfectly. The interface strengthens the mutual control around workers in the operation process so that improve the work quality and efficiency.
