Localization technology is one of the most popular technology in the scientificresearch. The traditional satellite positioning systems, such as GPS, Beidou, have beenwidely used in navigation, military, and other outdoor field s. With the rapid developmentof multimedia and wireless communication technology, the large-scale indoor spaces,suchas hospital, warehouse and airport, usually require precise positioning for indoor targets.However, the signal of satellite is easily affected by the mountains, trees, walls andbuildings in the process of communication, which can’t meet the requirement of indoorpositioning.So far the LANDMARC algorithm based on the active RFID is used in theindoor positioning system typically,howover,the shortcomings and deficiencies of theLANDMARC algorithm resulting in the low positioning accuracy.Analyzing theshortcomings and deficiencies of LANDMARC algorithm detailedly, this paper putsforward some corresponding solutions and mainly completes the following works:Firstly, this paper describes the research background, radio frequency identificationand the current situation of the positioning technology. Then introducing the principle ofthe indoor localization and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of indoorpositioning algorithm, especially for the algorithm of LANDMARC.This paper alsointroduces the related solutions for the shortcoming of the LANDMARC briefly.Secondly, due to the LANDMARC algorithm has a higher probability to choice wrongneighbor labels, this paper puts forward a modificatory algorithm based on LANDMARCalgorithm.The principle of the algorithm is based on the reference label uses the method ofanalyzing, calculating, correctting the wrong neighborhood label to reduce the errorcoordinates of tags. Through the experimental analysis and MATLAB simulation, whichproves the feasibility of the modificatary algorithm.Thirdly, according to the traditional RFID positioning system is too complex to locateand this paper makes some improvements on the positioning system. The nRF24LE1chip with high integration and ultra low power of the2.4GHz wireless system is used tocomplete the relevant positioning system. The software development of readers and tags isrealized by using the C programming language on the keil uVision3software developmentplatform.The visualization monitoring interface is realized by selecting the VBprogramming language on VB6.0software development platform.Finally, in order to verify the stability and accuracy of the positioning system, therelated experiment was completed, recorded and analyzed in the different environments.The results of experimental positioning analysis show that the design based on the activeRFID positioning technology has low complexity compared with the traditional positio ningsystem, which control the cost effectively.The positioning method can meet therequirements of indoor positioning system.
