As a new communication mode, NoC(Network-on-Chip) will replace the traditional So C architecture to overcome the limitations of the bus. This technology not only improves the communication efficiency, but also is flexible. At the same time, this technology can solve the problem of a single global clock in traditional communication architecture. However, with the rapid development of process technology, the nonideal effect of NoC in the interconnect structure has brought a series of problems, such as power consumption, delay and reliability. So how to design a high speed and low power NoC structure has become one of the hot topics in IC design. As a new low power coding, AGM is proposed to solve the problem of power consumption in NoC. The coding consists of the GM coding which is based on the low power coding(SCG) and anticrosstalk coding. The deserializer and serializer are applied to reduce the power consumption and the consumption of routing resources by reducing the number of interconnections. The simulation results show that the power consumption of AGM is reduced by 37.51% for 32 bit random data source. In order to further reduce the power consumption of NoC, the design scheme of low swing and low power coding technology is proposed. In the transmission circuit, the data is encoded by the AGM coding, and is send by the CCS circuit. The AGM coding effectively reduces the switching activity. And the combination of CCS circuit and the AGM coding reduces the power consumption of data transition further. In the receiving circuit, the CRFI circuit make the signal turn into the return to zero(RZ) pulse signal. Finally, the signal is restored into the full swing, and is decoded by the AGM decoder. Based on the 65 nm SMIC technology, the results show that the combination of CCS circuit and AGM coding can effectively reduce the power consumption of the interconnection and improve the ability to resist crosstalk at the same time. Compared with the full swing circuit not using AGM encoding, the use of the low power coding(AGM) or the low swing circuit(CCS) can achieve 40% and 72% energy reduction, respectively. While the combination of AGM coding and CCS circuit can achieve 82% energy reduction, and the improvement of the ability to resist crosstalk increases the data transmission rate further.
